The Cotswolds The Cotswold region is one of the most beautiful parts of England, famous for the honey coloured cotswold stone used for walls and buildings throughout the area. The Cotswolds are right in the heart of England close to Stratford upon Avon, Cheltenham Races, Warwick, Oxford and Bath but still within 2 hours of London. Our Bed & Breakfast Whiteshoots Cottage offers comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation in a cotswold stone extension to an older original cottage set in 3 acres of land running down to the Windrush river. The Windrush is the stream that gives Bourton on the Water it's nickname "The Venice of the Cotswolds". The cottage has lovely views across its own land to Bourton on the Water and the hills of the Cotswolds behind. There is lots of space to relax or to let the children run around. Whiteshoots Cottage Bed & Breakfast is ideally placed as a base for touring the Cotswolds and surrounding areas from Bath to Stratford upon Avon and from Cheltenham to Oxford. The pretty Cotswold towns of Stow on the Wold, Chipping Campden and Broadway are all within a short drive. There is ample car parking but it is only a few minutes scenic walk along the riverside into the centre of Bourton on the Water.
