Elizabeth I was Queen of England when The White Hart first opened its door. It has always been the principal inn of Cricklade, the first town on the Thames and threshold to the Cotswolds.
Many visitors come to Cricklade to enjoy walking and sight seeing. In the springtime the display of the rare Snakeshead Fritillaries on Cricklade's North Meadow is a wonderful attraction. The Meadow's beauty continues throughout mid summer with a succession of wild flowers.
