Dawn and Ray welcome you to West View Guesthouse and offer you quality accommodation in our traditional Victorian House which we have recently renovated.
All our rooms are equipped with colour television, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards together with tea and coffee making facilities. We are a non smoking establishment and offer double, single and twin rooms.

Dawn is a qualified chef and in addition to the full English breakfast provided, guests may avail themselves of fresh fruit, juice, yoghurts and cereal. Special diets are catered for by arrangement and flasks are filled with tea or coffee on request at no extra cost.

We are ideally situated for exploring the nearby market town of Kendal, the town centre being a delightful ten minute walk along the riverside. As we are located only eight miles from Junction 36 of the M6 Motorway, we are ideally placed for exploring both National Parks of the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The many local restaurants also make Kendal an ideal stopover for those travelling between England and Scotland on holiday or business.

We have private off road parking at the rear of the premises and can provide secure storage for bikes and climbing equipment. We are dog friendly however, guests are requested that they provide their own dog beds and feeding bowls.

From Junction 36 of the M6 motorway follow A590 / 591 to the exit for South Kendal. Continue towards Kendal and immediately after the first set of traffic lights you will see Kendal College on your left. West View Guesthouse is located in the row of Victorian houses opposite the college on a raised road. For Sat Nav users the postcode is LA9 5QG

By Train:
We are situated only 2 miles from Oxenholme Station which is on the main west coast rail line. A taxi from the station is approximately £4. For guests arriving in Kendal by bus there is a bus stop at the college opposite the guesthouse.
