The accommodation at Waterside is very comfortable with all rooms having recently been refurbished and there is central heating throughout the guest house.

We can offer single, double, twin and family rooms all of which are now en suite with either bath shower and W.C. or just shower and W.C. in all bedrooms you will find remote control TV, clock radio, toiletries and hospitalilty tray, hair dryers are also available. Children of all ages are catered for and we are able to provide cots and highchairs.
We also offer a baby listening service.


TerraceAll meals at Waterside are served in our cottage style dining room, or weather permitting,on our waterside terraces, both of which enjoy the picturesque views of Romney Marsh with the ever changingseasonal activities.
The day starts with a full English breakfast or a lighter choice for the less hungry. Our eveningmeals are chosen from the a la carte menu where we offer Traditional and Creative dishes alike, cooked to orderusing home or local grown produce whenever possible. Vegetarian and Special diets are no problem for us at Waterside. Afternoon tea can also be taken on the terraces where you are invited to relax and watch the world goby whether it be ducks, swans, steam trains or maybe the odd hot air balloon. After your evening meal, why not join new made friends for a drink and a chat, or just a chat in our cosy oak beamed bar bringing an end to another daywith a good night's sleep to follow.

Waterside is situated at the Gateway between England and Europe in thevillage of Dymchurch, which is five miles west of Hythe and 4 miles east of New Romney on the A259, thus makingit an ideal base for exploring the Kentish countryside and East Sussex or breaking your journey to and from thecontinent and with the continuous motorway links reaching us could not be easier. From the M20 take Junction 11and follow the signs for Hythe then right onto the A259 and in about 10 minutes you have arrived. The airportsGatwick and Heathrow are approximately 75 mins, and 2 hours away respectively; the ports of Folkestone andDover are but short distances away, Euro-Tunnel only 20 mins drive and Ashford International station just 25mins away so that romantic trip to Paris or a shopping spree in Calais or Boulogne could not be easier (so don'tforget your passport)!

If a cancellation is received within 3 days of the day of arrival or no show we will seek to claim the full value of the accommodation booked, this charge will only be levied if the accommodation remains unsold. Cheques only accepted with current bankers card and only upto the amount guaranteed on cheque card most debit and credit cards are also accepted.

SheepThe seaside village of Dymchurch is renowned for the vast safe sandy beaches where legend would have you believe DR. SYN (made famous by the Russell Thorndyke books) carriedon his smuggling activities. Among the other attractions are a small amusement park and the famous Romney, Hytheand Dymchurch Railway which runs from Hythe to Dungeness.

The surrounding area is full of interesting towns and villages such as Rye, Lydd, Canterbury and Tenterden to namebut a few. Historic houses, churches, castles and the Wild Animal Park at Port Lympne are all worth a visit.Watersports, swimming, walks, golf and horse racing at Folkestone race course are just a few of the activitiesreadily available locally.
