DARTMOOR NATIONAL PARK 365 SQUARE MILES OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY.
Two Bridges Hotel, 8K

World Famous for its stunning scenery, Dartmoor National Park is best known for its rocky outcrops, woodlands and wild open stretches of moorland.

There are over 200 granite tors you can visit, including Hound Tor, location for Arthur Conan Doyle's Hound of the Baskervilles.
Bowerman's nose, 8KBowerman's nose, a thirty foot granite figure, is believed to be the remains of Bowerman the Hunter. According to legend, he angered the witches of Dartmoor by driving his pack through one of their secret covens. They were so outraged that, in their fury, they turned him and his hounds (the boulders surrounding the rock) into stone.
To enter the Two Bridges is to step back in time. Huge log fires, leather armchairs, antiques, the gleam of old copper and brass, all combine to give you an instant feeling of Olde England.

Built in the 18th Century, the Two Bridges is situated right in the heart of Dartmoor, nestling beside the picturesque West Dart river where the salmon come to spawn.

One minute from the hotel brings you on to the moor with all its truly beautiful scenery.
