This very comfortable farmhouse accommodation is available in a delightful listed building on the outskirts of an attractive village.

The house is set in grounds of approximately four acres with a working farm surrounding it. There is ample parking space.

There is a large double bedroom with a King sized bed, a smaller double bedroom and a twin bedded room. All the rooms are well furnished and have tea and coffee making facilities. There are electric blankets, colour television and the use of a private bathroom and shower. All the rooms have central heating.

Full English breakfasts or light breakfasts are served in the dining room. There is a very pleasant drawing room and a conservatory for guests use. There are seats in the large garden.

The countryside around Poulshot is comparatively level - good for bicycling, riding and walking. Many attractions are within easy distance and Townsend Farmhouse is well positioned for exploring and enjoying this interesting part of Wiltshire. It is conveniently placed for stopping en route for holidays, business or travel elsewhere.

Children are welcome but no cots, high chairs or baby equipment are provided and the house is not particularly suitable for very young children.

Evening meals are not provided at Townsend Farmhouse but there is a large variety of good places to eat nearby and in Devizes. Recommendations and helpful suggestions are always readily available. Please do not hesitate to ask for any special requests or requirements which you may have.

It is advisable to book in advance, especially at weekends. Please write , telephone or fax to make a booking which will be confirmed on the receipt of a 10% deposit. The booking will be kept for you until 7.30pm on the day, unless notice is given that guests will be arriving later.

We appreciate that sometimes it becomes necessary to cancel bookings and providing we are given at least twenty four hours notice, we are happy to refund any deposit paid.

Using an ordinance survey map of the area the following may be helpful:

From the South
On A360, about ž mile after Littleton Pannell fork left to Worton. ž mile after Worton village turn right to Poulshot (a poor sign which is easy to overshoot).

From the North, East and West:
Get to the A361 Devizes to Trowbridge road. At the bottom of Caen Hill at the end of the dual carriageway take the turning south signposted Poulshot and Worton.
Townsend Farmhouse is approximately one mile from the A361.

The house will be found on the left, between bad road bends, half a mile south of Poulshot village green. It is a square fronted, red brick house with a gravelled drive next to the turning to Poulshot church, on the same side of the road.
