| Torrdarach House is our beautiful Pitlochry B&B in Highland Perthshire. Built in 1901, the guest house is situated on a quiet elevated corner, only a few hundred metres off the high street within the Conservation Area. We have just under an acre of splendid woodland garden containing our own burn and some great examples of the 'Big Trees' for which Highland Perthshire is so famous including oak, beech, Noble fir and Douglas-fir. Extensive refurbishment of our luxury Pitlochry B&B accommodation in 2011 has brought our public rooms, bedrooms (amazing new beds!) and en-suites right up to date. Our B&B guest lounge with its open fire overlooks the garden and has views beyond to the Tummel Valley. Breakfast is now served in our brand new dining room also overlooking the garden. Red squirrels and birds are regular breakfast time visitors to the feeders outside the dining room. We are licensed to sell alcohol and have a wide selection on offer including local beers, over 30 whiskies, wines (by the glass or bottle), and other spirits and soft drinks. These can be served to guests in the lounge or garden. Pitlochry bed and breakfasts have been a popular with tourists for over 150 years. The stunning mountain and mixed woodland scenery with its many lochs, rivers and waterfalls has been well mapped for walkers and mountain-bikers. The Pitlochry Golf Club home of the Pitlochry Highland Open, is just 2 minutes up the road from the house and this also offers great views over Pitlochry and down the Tummel Valley. A more sedate way to enjoy the great Highland Perthshire scenery is from the many well-planned viewpoints and easy access paths throughout the area. With multiple other attractions, including the hugely popular Pitlochry Festival Theatre, the Pitlochry dam and salmon ladder, castles and historic attractions, groves of 'Big Trees', distilleries, shops and great restaurants, delis and cafes, Pitlochry has a lot to offer. However you decide to make use of your visit to Highland Perthshire, the comfort of our luxury Pitlochry B&B with its fantastic garden and Perthshire views, together with our close proximity to the Pitlochry restaurants, cafes and shops, makes Torrdarach House a perfect place to stay. | Fantastic new rooms at our luxury bed and breakfast in Pitlochry All of our Pitlochry B&B bedrooms are en-suite and were fully refurbished in 2011. This refurbishment included décor, carpets, beds, curtains, furniture, TVs with integrated DVD players and original paintings. The majority of our en-suite facilities have also been upgraded and we have installed a whole-house water pump delivering an invigorating 12 litres per minute showering experience. Facilities in the new look bedrooms include: Sealy beds - we have invested in some fantastic new beds from Sealy. These are American designed beds made in the UK. While we understand that the comfort of a bed is a personal thing, we have chosen a top of the range medium-firm mattress from the Sealy contract range and we don't think you will be disappointed. They have a very luxurious feel! You should wake up ready for breakfast. At least one easy chair. Solid oak furniture. LCD television with integrated DVD player. Tea and coffee making facilities - a range of teas and coffee is provided. Fresh milk on request. Thermos of iced water. Scottish Fine Soaps - sea Kelp range of toiletries. Salon-style hairdryer. The all important full-length mirror! Blackout lined curtains. Complimentary Wi-Fi access. Books, magazines and local interest reading material. Folder with suggested activities and restaurant recommendations. 20 litre backpack for you to use during your stay. We have both kingsize (150cm x 200cm) and twin (90cm x 200cm) bed options. Families are welcome. Cots, baby monitors and highchairs can be provided. Note that none of our rooms have baths. |
