Mike and Vanessa Woolnough welcome you to The Vines, a beautiful 15th Century Cottage in the quiet village of Great Cressingham, Norfolk.

This Grade II listed Timber framed Hall house is now a delightful place to stay for your visit to our beautiful county, whether you are here on holiday or on business.

Great Cressingham is an unspoilt village on the edge of Breckland. It has an excellent village pub and is a superb base for touring, walking, bird-watching, cycling or just taking it easy.

The guest dining room is original 15th century and the rest was added over the following centuries. It boasts fine beams and an open hearth where we have log fires at breakfast and throughout the day in cold weather. We do, of course, also have central heating throughout the building.

Breakfast has a full a la carte menu featuring a choice of either English or Continental cuisine. Special and vegetarian diets can be catered for and of course everything is freshly cooked to order.

What our Visitors Have Done

Peddars Way is only a mile away and visitors use this bridleway for walking, pony trekking or mountain biking. There is local stabling and a paddock for your horse or you can hire a bike by the day or week, delivered to The Vines! You just have gentle strolls or go right round the Coastal Path, which takes several days.

Ideal stay for wedding guests, home buyers, Genealogists, a break from your journey or as a base for visiting Norwich and onto the Continent from Norwich Airport.
