| We are roughly 15 minutes from the centre of London by train and nothing is too much trouble to ensure you have a pleasant stay without paying central London accommodation prices. London has everything to satisfy holiday makers whatever their taste. Beautiful historic buildings, plenty of museums and art galleries, shops, churches as well as the usual tourist attractions. |
| Beryl and Ron are happy to give you full directions from your point of arrival to the local railway station (Hither Green or Catford Bridge) and will be pleased to meet you at the local railway station on arrival day by prior arrangement. Lifts to the station in the mornings are available on request. We are located close to Blackheath Village and historical Greenwich. Both have excellent pubs, restaurants and shops. The Glades shopping centre at Bromley in Kent is an excellent shopping centre within easy reach of our home but with prices much more realistic than in central London. |
| It is easy to reach us by car .Take the M25 to Junction 3 (where it crosses the A20/M20) Then take the A20 towards central London. After approximately 8 miles turn left where the A20 crosses the A205 (South Circular Road) Continue for approximately 1 mile to a railway bridge (the word BESTWAY is written on it) Turn left at traffic lights here into Verdant Lane. The Heathers (No. 71) is on the left opposite Sandhurst Road.Parking is freely available - there are no parking restrictions in Verdant Lane or Sandhurst Road. If you have arrived by train or air, make for Charing Cross Station. From Charing Cross, as well as London Bridge or Waterloo East, whichever you are closest to, take the train to either Hither Green Station or Catford Bridge Station.When you arrive, 'phone us on 020 8698 8340(by prior arrangement) and we will meet you within a few minutes. Let us know if you require more comprehensive directions from your arrival point. Both Hither Green and Catford Bridge stations areeasily accessible. From London Bridge it takes 10 minutes, Waterloo for Eurostar takes 13 minutes and Charing Cross 15-20 minutes. |
| We let 2 twin bedded rooms with shared good sized bathroom/efficient roomy power shower etc. Our rooms are very comfortable and clean and each have television, radio, hair dryer, and tea and coffee making facilities for your comfort. Soft white robes are provided in each room for your convenience. Floor standing electric fans in both rooms. We do our best to provide our guests with anything extra they feel they need. We want you to enjoy your holiday and of course, to enjoy your stay with us. |
| Our prices are as follows:- Twin bedded room for 2 people including full English breakfast .... £50. per night inclusive (All above prices cover 2 people) Twin bedded room for 1 person including full English breakfast £35 per night, 3 nights or more .... £30. per night For a third person (only a child or young person) we can erect a temporary bed in one of the bedrooms for a small additional charge. Credit Cards not accepted at the present time. Deposit required - 1 night's accommodation charge as confirmation. |
Breakfast is served in our comfortable dining room and consists of tea, coffee or chocolate, fruit juice, choice of breakfast cereals, egg, bacon, tomato, mushroom and sausage and toast/rolls with jam/marmalade. Guests are welcome to use our comfortable sitting room.  Our aim is to ensure you have a trouble free and enjoyable holiday - we hope we continue to be successful in this direction. |
