Come and unwind at the Willowsmere in lovely Windermere at the heart of the Lake District National Park.

Martin and Sue Cooper welcome you to their home, which offers a friendly and cosy home from home atmosphere.

The Willowsmere was built in the 1850s as a Gentlemen's residence. It has been tastefully restored and removed to a luxurious standard.

There are two lounges for guests use and a large and beautiful landscaped garden where you can relax and enjoy a drink from the well stocked cellar.

Wonderful views of nearby Lake Windermere are only a few minutes stroll away.

Our Guest House has:

Large comfoatable bedroom, all with private facilities and those extra touches o make you stay special. Luxury pocket sprung beds and Egyptian cotton duvets ensure a sound night's sleep.

How to Find Us

From the south
Follow the M6 north to exit 36 and take the A591 towards Windermere continue along the A591 towards Ambleside and we are situated on the left 200 yards beyond St Mary's Church.

From the north
Follow the A6 south to exit 40 and take the A66 to Kewick, follow the A591 south past Lake Thirlsmere, Grasemere and Ambleside to Windermere. At the mini roundabout continue straight on and we are situated on the right just a few hundred yards beyond the junction.

By coach and rail
Regular buses pass the Hotel and Windermere station is only a 8 minutes walk away and connects quickly with the main West Coast Intercity line at Oxenholme, Kendal.

For guests arrive arriving by rail or coach we can arrange to meet you at Windermere Station and transport you with your luggage to The Willowmere at no extra cost.
