| The Spinney is a modern detached and well appointed property, surrounded by delightful Somerset countryside with views to the Quantock and Mendip Hills. Easily accessible from A303 and M5 it is ideally placed to explore Exmoor, The Somerset Levels, the Devon and Dorset coast, or enjoy a day watching cricket at the Somerset county ground We have excellent walking from the door including the recently developed "Herepath Trail". We offer clean spacious, light and tastefully furnished rooms with comfortable quality beds and ensuite facilities. There are two ground floor rooms, one twin, one double, the twin also being suitable for less able travellers. There is a comfortable guest lounge with Sky TV. Wireless internet facilities throughout. Complimentary beverage and homemade cakes on arrival. Breakfast is served in our lovely dining room and Ann prepares individual Aga breakfasts using tasty local produce and serves Spinney homemade preserves. We have gated off-road parking and we are open all year except Christmas and New Year. Why not come and see for yourself!
From the A303 On A358 (Taunton) from Illminster by-pass roundabout follow second sign to Bickenhall (Bickenhall Lane). From the M5 Exit J25. On A358 (Yeovil/Illminster) go through traffic lights at Thornfalcon. After two miles, take Bickenhall Lane on the right. From the A358 Continue along Bickenhall Lane. At the T Junction turn left. Continue on this road until you reach Neroche parish hall on the right. At the hall turn left to Curland. Go through the village keeping the telephone box on your left. Go straight up the hill for 400m. Take the first left turning. The Spinney is the first house on the right. From Taunton Pass under J25 of the M5. Follow above directions from M5. |
