| A warm welcome from Ann and John awaits you at The Spinney, a modern detached house surrounded by its own attractive gardens. Enjoying a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, The Spinney is peacefully situated in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty on the slopes of The Blackdown Hills six miles south of Taunton, the county town of Somerset. Convenient for the M5, A358, A303, Taunton and Ilminster, The Spinney is an ideal base for touring much of the West Country. The three guest bedrooms, two of which are on the ground floor, are spacious, light and tastefully furnished. Each has en suite facilities, central heating, colour TV, beverage tray and a hairdryer. Our evening meals are highly recommended and we offer a wide choice of individually prepared breakfasts to suit all tastes. Special diets are available on request. Guests are welcome to bring their own wine. There is a large dining room overlooking the gardens with a comfortable area for reading or taking coffee after the meal. Alternatively, guests can relax in the comfortable TV lounge where they can enjoy a real log fire in cold weather.  How to find us: From the A303 On A358 (Taunton) from Illminster by-pass roundabout follow second sign to Bickenhall (Bickenhall Lane). From the M5 Exit J25. On A358 (Yeovil/Illminster) go through traffic lights at Thornfalcon. After two miles, take Bickenhall Lane on the right. From the A358 Continue along Bickenhall Lane. At the T Junction turn left. Continue on this road until you reach Neroche parish hall on the right. At the hall turn left to Curland. Go through the village keeping the telephone box on your left. Go straight up the hill for 400m. Take the first left turning. The Spinney is the first house on the right. From Taunton Pass under J25 of the M5. Follow above directions from M5. |
