The Cottage which was once the village shop has beautiful well tended gardens with an ornamental pond, orchard, rare bread chickens and two very friendly Springer Spaniels. |
We offer a wonderful home cooked breakfast menu ranging from smoked trout with scrambled eggs to porridge. Pack lunches are available from £5 and pre-booked evening meals priced at £15 per person.. |
Rooms All of our rooms are recently renovated to a high standard. We offer a double and single with shared bathroom and communal sitting room with TV plus tea and coffee making facilities. This is ideal for friends and families but both rooms can be booked exclusively. Our double en-suite has a television, tea and coffee making facilities, and a private patio. Attractions include: Nottingham Castle, Sherwood Forest, Home Pierpoint, The Space Centre, Six Hills Golf Course & Jet Ski Centre, Belvoir Castle, Burghley Horse Trials, Twinlakes, Vale View Equestrian Centre and Rutland Water. For the active amongst us there are many beautiful footpaths to be enjoyed and there is a small course fishing pond across the village within the parkland of Old Dalby Hall. The Village also boasts the Crown Inn which is a short walk from the cottage, the pub serves local ales and excellent food. Just down the road is the Belvoir Brewery Sample Cellar where you can tour the brewery and then enjoy a drink and a meal in the bar.
