A warm welcome awaits you at this privately owned and managed Victorian mansion which prides itself on its reputation for excellent service. Built in 1876, Taychreggan Hotel & Restaurant was a private house until 1946 and still retains many of its original features including fine cornice work, oak panelling and chandeliers. Situated in the conservation area of West Ferry lying quietly between Dundee, "City of Discovery", and the bustling suburb of Broughty Ferry it has a wealth of interest on its doorstep including a blue flag beach, castles, some of the worlds finest golf courses, an excellent variety of shops, quality eating places and traditional pubs.

In the warmer months our award winning garden and sun terrace provide an oasis of peace in which to enjoy al fresco dining or perhaps just relax with a good book or chat with our gardener who is always willing to give free horticultural advice.

Our ten rooms, some of which have panoramic views of the River Tay, offer great comfort. All have either en suite bath or shower, colour television with freeview box; giving an extensive selection of both TV and radio channels, tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone and wire free internet access.

During your stay experience great food, complimented by our extensive wine list, in a warm and welcoming ambience. Our team of chefs' work hard every day to produce both classic and modern dishes using quality fresh produce sourced from local suppliers. The wine list has great variety from both old and new world and our "Le Verre de Vin" wine preservation system allows us to sell seventeen wines, including sparkling, by the glass.

Alternatively relax in our bar, "The Gordon and Macphail Malt Whisky Bar of The Year 2005", enjoy some of our selection of over 300 single malt whiskies and perhaps even take part in an ad hoc tasting with one of our knowledgeable bar staff.

Our ten bedrooms are non-smoking, individually decorated and located at first floor level. Some of the rooms offer breathtaking views over Broughty Ferry and the River Tay and also overlook the private gardens (which are yours to enjoy in the warmer months as well as a sun terrace which captures the sun all day).
