Sheila and David Blankstone offer a friendly welcome to our lovely home set in a quiet rural location with a beautiful garden.

Located near to the M5 Junctions 3 and 4 and the M42 we are well situated for business visitors to the West Midlands and for pleasure guests, the many tourist attractions in Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Shropshire. We provide easy access to central Birmingham with its Convention Centre, Symphony Hall, Indoor Arena, Theatres, Museums and Art Gallery. We are also within easy reach of the National Exhibition Centre and Birmingham Airport by motorway.

We have a spacious car parking.

The nearest railway station is Stourbridge Junction which is a short taxi journey away.

Please note that smoking is not allowed in the house.

Guest Facilities

We have 3 guest bedrooms. One has a double bed with en suite shower room, another has twin beds with en suite shower room and the other has a double bed with an adjoining private bathroom. All the bedrooms have attractive rural views.

All bedrooms equipped with:-

  • Remote-control colour TV with Sky Channel
  • Clock/Radio Alarm
  • Central heating with a supplementary heater

Also available are use of Hairdryer, Ironing, Refrigerator, Photocopying, Fax, Email facilities and a wide selection of books and magazines.


Tall Trees Cottage, 12K

Guests are invited to enjoy the extensive garden and paddock with its unusual trees and shrubs including topical plants such as Bananas, Palms, Gingers and Tree Ferns. There is also a formal rose garden, flower beds and an enclosed pond area.

Guests are most welcome bring their dogs or take our Cocker Spaniel for walks.

The nearby Clent Hills provide many excellent walks with magnificent views of the Black Country and the Worcestershire/Shropshire countryside.


Breakfast

From 7:30 we offer a comprehensive breakfast menu of fruit juice, cereals and a wide choice of items cooked to order. We can cater for special diets if notified.

Eating Out

We have numerous good local restaurants and pubs offering a wide choice of quality food for lunch and evening meals. The best ones are very popular, particularly at weekends, so we can give you their telephone numbers to book a table in advance if required.

Rates per person per night:-

Single Occupancy £33.00 - (For 1 night only £36.00)
Double Occupancy £32.00 - (For 1 night only £35.00)

Please note that we do not accept credit cards so please arrange to pay by cheque or cash on day of departure.

Directions from the South and M42:-

Leave M5 northbound at junction 4.
Follow A491 towards Stourbridge.
About 1 mile, turn right at roundabout and continue on A491 to Stourbridge.
About 2.5 miles turn left at sign for Clent.
Continue through village for about 1 mile then turn left just after Clent Nurseries into Broome Lane.
About ½ mile down Broome Lane, turn right into Thicknall Lane.
Tall Trees Cottage is the first house on the left, 100 yards after the bend.

Directions from the North:-

Leave M5 southbound at junction 3.
Follow A456 towards Kidderminster for about 4 miles to Hagley.
At bottom of hill about 100 yards after the traffic lights, turn left at motor showrooms signposted to Clent (Bromsgrove Road).
Continue for a mile then turn right under the bridge into Broome Lane.
About ½ mile down Broome Lane, turn right into Thicknall Lane.
Tall Trees Cottage is the first house on the left, 100 yards after the bend.

Alternative Directions from the North:-

Leave M5 southbound at junction 3.
Follow A456 towards Kidderminster for about 5 miles through Hagley.
Fork left at the Shell Fuel Station (450 to Worcester).
After 300 yards turn left into Thicknall Lane (signposted to Clent).
Continue along the lane for about ¾ mile to a small group of houses.
Tall Trees Cottage is the second house on the right.
