Set in the glorious countryside of East Devon, "where country meets coast", Swallows Eaves is a privately owned, wisteria-clad, small hotel in the pretty village of Colyford, providing the ideal touring centre from which to explore the beauties of Devon, Dorset & Somerset throughout the year. The hotel is located within it's own grounds, with the advantage of our private car park for hotel guests. The eight attractive bedrooms present a high standard of accommodation. Several rooms have beautiful views across the wooded hills of the Axe valley. A spacious ground floor twin bedded room offers easy access. All rooms are en suite with either bathroom or shower or both, with luxurious Egyptian cotton bedding and wonderfully thick bath sheets & hand towels.

Each room has television, radio alarm, hairdryer, complimentary toiletries & beverage tray. Tarka Spring water, local Dorset biscuits, books & magazines all add that extra welcoming touch. Complimentary wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel to help you keep in touch with the office or to plan your sightseeing itinerary. Swallows Eaves is totally non-smoking and regrettably we do not have the facilities to accommodate children or pets. The hotel is licensed and offers half board or bed & breakfast. Our service is relaxed and friendly. Meals are carefully prepared using local fresh produce wherever possible.

In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the village of Colyford is ideally positioned between the coastal towns of Lyme Regis to the East, Sidmouth to the West and the market town of Honiton to the North. Branscombe and the historic fishing village of Beer are both within a few miles drive and further afield the Cathedral city of Exeter offers excellent shopping as well as theatres, museums, restaurants and art galleries.

By Road: Colyford is located on the A3052 between Lyme Regis and Sidmouth. Swallows Eaves is in the centre of the village opposite the local post office and shop. There is plenty of car parking within the hotel grounds. Rail: British Rail to London Waterloo from Axminster, Honiton or Exeter. www.nationalrail.co.uk Air: Exeter airport is approximately 25 minutes away. www.exeter-airport.co.uk Taxis: Should guests require a taxi to either the station or the airport we will be pleased to arrange this on your behalf.
