About Us
We are both local to 'The Village' as Alnmouth is often referred to. Indeed Bren's grandparents were landlords of the pub in the none too distant past.
Famed for our hospitality and warm welcome, we love chatting to patrons as the open log fire burns in the background.
We are both active members of the local community and support local causes, like The Raft Day, which raises money for RNLI.
Mel also runs the local hairdressers and knows all of the local gossip. If Mel doesn't know about it it's not worth knowing about!
Accommodation
We are currently in the process of having 4 guest rooms added to The Sun Inn. The rooms will be ready by mid March 2010. We have already started taking bookings for summer 2010.
All rooms either have an en-suite or a private bathroom.
Room 1
This is a very large family room consisting of a double bed, a single bed and a further fold away single bed. The room has an en-suite bathroom.
Room 2
This is a double room that with it's own private bathroom.
Room 3
This is a large room that can be either a double or a twin with an en-suite bathroom.
Room 4
This is a similar room 4 in that can be either a double or a twin with an en-suite bathroom.
Food
We offer bar meals as well as a dinning room facility and children are welcome throughout the pub.
Our chef takes great pride in preparing each meal individually with the best ingredients available.
We vary our menu to reflect the changes in the season. We offer warming broths and hot baguettes in the winter. Freshly made sandwiches and crispy salads are offered during the summer.
Our specials board is in a league of it's own.
