Sudbury House, once a fine regency a residence, has been extended in recent years to form a fully equipped hotel, blending modern facilities with traditional elegance. The development has been thoughtfully designed to exist in perfect harmony with the original building and its surroundings. Nestling on the edge of the Cotswolds in the pretty market town of Faringdon, its position midway between Oxford and Swindon on the A420 ensures a simple journey from the M4 and M40 motorways. Faringdon itself is an architectural delight, with fine Georgian and Regencybuildings, dominated by the Folly Tower built in 1935 and standing 104 feet tall. Historically famous for its stand in the Civil War against Oliver Cromwell's Roundhead army, the town's role as a market centre can be traced way back to Saxon Times. |
Our 49 spacious and comfortable double bedrooms are each equipped with private bath and shower. A trouser press, hairdryer and hot beverage supplies are also provided as are remote controlled televisions with fastext and selected satellite channels, radioand direct dial telephones. As an added feature we also have a room fully adapted for disabled guests. Continental breakfast is available to be served in your bedrooms, whilst full English breakfast is served in the Folly Restaurant.
