| Introduction Stronvar is an attractive old building, dating from circa 1800, decorated in a modern homely style.There is a ramp and handrails leading into the house, which makes easy access for those in wheelchairs or for those requiring support. The house is fully double glazed with self-adjusting radiators in every room. Stronvar sits on the main road heading from Prestwick into the town centre of Ayr.  There is easy access into the property from the side of the house (Falkland Road) and ample parking space in the grounds. The house is furnished with a lift giving access from ground floor to the first floor - handy for taking golf bags or luggage upstairs, to save any unnecessary carrying or walking upstairs. For those that are energetic they can use the staircase passing the beautiful stained glass window on the way to the first floor. |

| The Rooms Stronvar has 9 en-suite rooms, 3 x single, 2 x double and 4x triple. All tastefully decorated in a modern style. Each room is equipped with a hairdryer, LCD digital freeview TV, hospitality tray that includes tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, radio/alarm clock and self controlled central heating.  All the en-suite shower rooms have a light and razor point at the sink. |
| The Dining Room & Lounge The dining room is south facing therefore enjoys a full day of sunshine (when out!!) The dining room is bright and airy consisting of one room with an attached conservatory, where you can enjoy your breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere. We do not provide evening meals but you are welcome to use the dining room for any food you bring into the house.Guest Lounge  There is a guest lounge, which you are welcome to use at any time of the day or evening to watch a larger screen T.V. read quietly or just enjoy the company of your friends with tea or coffee. |

There is easy access into the property from Falkland Road and ample parking space in the grounds. Stronvar is situated on the A79 north side of Ayr with a 15-minute walk to the town centre and 20-minute walk to Prestwick Town centre. Stronvar is in the heart of Burns Country and surrounded by Ayrshire's numerous golf courses and well-known Ayr racecourse. Stronvar is a minute's walk from the Northfield Bowling Complex. | Local Attractions Ayrshire is the home of a wide range of attractions, activities and events. It is the home of over 30 golf courses including the famous Turnberry, Royal Troon and Old Prestwick.  Ayr is also the home of Scottish Bowling Association clubs. Ayr stages the Scottish National Championship Bowling event. Stronvar is a minute walk to the Northfield Bowling Complex For those who like horse racing, the Ayr has Scotland Premiere Racecourse hosting both Flat and National Hunt fixtures. Ayr racecourse hosts the Coral Scottish Grand National in April and the Ayr Gold cup in September throughout its 12 month racing programme.  Rozelle and Belleisle Park are a 15-minute drive away where you can enjoy the gardens. Ayr is in the heart of Burns country where you can see where our national bard was born and lived. You can look around the areas that gave him the inspiration for the poems and songs he wrote. The Burns Heritage Park is 15-minute drive from Stronvar where you can enjoy the Burns experience. Other attractions you might like are: Electric Brae, Culzean castle and Park, Brig O'Doon, Gaiety Theatre, ten Pin bowling, swimming pool and Leisure Centre and the Curling and Ice rink. |
| For Children There are many activities for children in Ayr. Pirate Pete's - a soft play area down near Ayr beach where parents can enjoy tea coffee and a snack while the kid's play.Animal farm - Heads of Ayr - where there are over 50 different kinds of animals to see, trampolines, quad bikes and much more fun and games to play. Stronvar lies between Ayr and Prestwick beaches where you can a stroll along the promenade enjoy an ice cream or play on the sand and in the water. Between Pirate Pete's and Ayr beach there is a playground with sand pits swings, slides etc for all ages. Loudoun castle Theme Park just 20 minutes drive from Ayr where all the family can enjoy a day full of fun and rides. |
