| Stapleton's Chantry dates from the 16th Century with later additions, and offers exceptionally comfortable accommodation, (vi spring bedrooms feature King or Super King beds), a wealth of exposed beams and overlooks our large and very pretty garden complete with duck pond, hens and ponies in the paddock. The house is on the edge of a peaceful and lovely South Oxfordshire village with many listed buildings, a 13th Century church with historic close connections with our house for 700 years. We have a delightful old pub serving delicious home made food within walking distance, and many other good pubs and restaurants within easy reach, including several Michelin starred pubs and restaurants. | There is a plenty of scope for countryside activities locally, including a number of top golf courses, walking, boating, cycling and riding - the Oxfordshire Cycleway, the Thames Path and The Ridgeway Path are very close. The River Thames runs through many local villages and towns including historic Oxford, Henley, Wallingford and Abingdon and provides delightful riverside pubs and restaurants. South Oxfordshire is a very central base for visiting the Cotswolds, Chilterns and Thames Valley, and is within easy reach of Oxford, London, Bath, M40, M25, M4, Heathrow and Gatwick, Culham, Rutherford Appleton, Harwell, as well as Milton Park Business Estate. We do our very best to meet your accommodation needs so do please ask if your requirements can be met. We have ample parking within our grounds. Cyclists and walkers are welcome, locked storage is provided for bikes. Rowing training camps welcomed.
