It's the ideal base to explore the Highlands and beyond. Drive to the west coast fishing village of Ullapool in just over an hour. Head north to John o' Groats in two hours thirty minutes.
Travel south to Cairngorm National Park and Britain's highest restaurant. In the east watch the Moray Firth dolphins frolic in the sunshine.
When your exploring is complete for the day relax in the beautiful St Ann's House gardens or in the residents' lounge.
The house was built in the late 19th century for the first postmaster of Inverness and has been extensively modernised, while still retaining a sense of character. You can stay up to date with free w-fi and flat screen televisions with Freeview programming in all rooms.

Monster hunting. Sail Loch Ness and live the legend with Jacobite cruises. The mysterious and dark depths of the Loch are world renowned. Let your imagination run riot as you cruise past the historic ruins of Urquhart Castle, which guards the secrets of the Loch.
Cawdor, just a few miles east of Inverness. A fairytale castle with Shakespearean links. Cross the drawbridge to Scotland's medieval past and experience the history of this imposing fortress at first hand. Then stroll along the nature paths in the Castle's beautiful gardens.
Dunrobin Castle, is the most northerly of Scotland's great houses, situated 50 miles north of Inverness. The gardens, inspired by those at Versailles, have changed little in the 150 years since they were designed by Sir Charles Barry, who designed the Houses of Parliament.
Discover Cairngorm Mountain on the UK's highest funicular railway. The views from the summit are fabulous. An experience not to be missed.
