Come and visit us in the picturesque and un-spoilt market town on Steyning, nestling in the heart of the South Downs, providing an excellent centre from which to explore West Sussex.

Built in 1772, Springwells was originally owned by a Georgian Merchant.

We offer eleven charming bedrooms in our Bed and Breakfast Hotel, with staff offering the personal attention and comfort associated with a small, privately owned establishment.

All rooms have a fitted basin, telephone and colour television, and a complimentary tea tray is provided. The majority of our rooms have en suite facilities, whiles two rooms share a bathroom. We also have two four poster rooms, one with an adjoining single room, perfect for families.

The Georgian windows in our dining room provide the morning sunshine to accompany our hearty English breakfasts.

Relax in our spacious, comfortable lounge, or enjoy a quiet drink in the bar. Take pleasure in a stroll around our attractive country garden, leading from the Victorian conservatory.

An at the end of a long day, treat yourself to a dip in the heated pool, through the walled garden with its 300 year old Yew Trees.

Weddings and Celebrations

We can cater for 20 - 35 people for a formal meal, or up to 85 per people for a buffet style menu.

When the weather is good, guests can spill out onto the patio and garden to enjoy the day.

Funeral Teas and Afternoon Teas

Choose from a selection of food: sandwiches, quiche, vol-au-vents, scones with jam and cream, and cakes, to be priced accordingly, between £8.95 and £13.95 per head. We can prepare a similar selection of foods for an afternoon tea, perhaps for a birthday.

Conferences

Flip chart, tea, coffee and mineral water provided. Room hire from £95.00 per day. Lunches/dinners can be provided from £6.95 per head, contact us for more information.

How to Find Us

We are located in Steyning, a picturesque town, nestled in the South Downs. We offer the perfect resting spot for cyclists, walkers and holiday makers.

Once you get into Steyning, we are at the bottom of the High Street, on the approach into the town. We are situated opposite a Methodist Church and a Threshers wine store.
