Accomodation
The Smiddy House provides 4 luxury rooms for Bed and Breakfast accommodation: one family, one twin and 2 doubles, each ensuite with shower and toilet, along with colour TV, hair dryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
Each bedroom is personalised by its own name and simple, but tasteful individual refurbishment.
"Oban" - the family room with one double bed and a single bed
"Jura" - the twin room with 2 single beds
"Isla" and "Tobermory" - both double rooms, each with one double bed For that special occasion, flowers and champagne can be arranged to be in your room on arrival. From a single rose to a bouquet, McDonald Bros. (our local florist) will deliver direct. Please contact them on 01397 702221.
Laundry, All guests, not just walkers and cyclists, are welcome to use the laundry and drying room facilities for a small charge.
Dogs are welcome, although we appreciate advance notification as we have our own resident King Charles Cavalier spaniel, "Cara". |
  | The Old Smiddy Self Catering and Russells Restaurant
The Old Smiddy lies adjacent to the Smiddy House and Russell's, our restaurant, and provides luxury self catering accommodation for 6 guests in 1 double room on the ground floor, plus another four in single beds on the upper level which is open plan. The bathroom comprising toilet and electric shower is located adjacent to the double bedroom.
Russell's extends over both sides of the ground floor of the Smiddy House and can cater for up to 40 diners. Guests dine by candlelight and coal-effect gas fires help create a cosy, intimate atmosphere.
The menu changes weekly and offers freshly prepared cuisine using the finest of Scottish produce. Dishes include rack of lamb, medallions of venison as well as a selection of fresh fish and vegetarian options. |
