Pets are welcome We don't just accept pets, we welcome them. We are very proud to be the holders of the AA's Pet Friendly Guest Establishment Award of 2005. Having pets ourselves we understand how difficult it is sometimes to find somewhere that doesn't consider you anti social because you want to take your pet on holiday with you. Just discuss your requirements with us and we will do our best to make all of you feel welcome. |
| The Seaford Area 2000 years ago people believed that this area was a lovely one to live in - and we still believe today. Surrounded on the north by the Downs, on the south by the sea, and to each side by open tracts, it is an ideal place in which to holiday. ![]() We are mid way between Eastbourne and Brighton so those looking for a quiet holiday base whilst still wanting to visit the hustle and bustle of the large towns find us perfect. We boast enough local walks to last your entire holiday. In your bedroom you will find full details of them. Whether you like coastal walks, cliff walks or beautiful country walks, we have them all. The Cuckmere Valley bird sanctuary with the Seven Sisters Country Park is only minutes away by either car or local bus, as is the Friston Forest with its peaceful walks and protected wildlife. |
| The Silverdale Mission Statement At the Silverdale we realize that all tourism is a necessary business which benefits the local community and the individual. At the same time, if not regulated, insensitive tourism can threaten the quality of the tourism experience and the local environment. All our staff recognise that it is our duty to bring something useful to the local community, bring satisfaction to our guests and protect the local environment as far as that is possible. In doing that, we feel we are committed to the highest possible level of environmental management and thus incorporate this in every aspect of our business. Sustainability We actively encourage our guests to use public transport whenever possible, providing, whenever we can, train and bus timetables for their use. For travel to areas where public transport does not reach we offer the use of bicycles. Resource Management At the same time as trying to provide the product that our visitors hope for, we reduce the consumption of energy and natural resources as far as possible by careful housekeeping. Waste Management We have an active policy of waste avoidance and minimize waste by reusing and recycling items whenever we can. We dispose of all waste in a careful and responsible way. Buying Policies We buy as many of our goods as locally as possible, the emphasis being on using local manufacturers and local suppliers. Whilst practicing all the above we are not ashamed to say that we also preach to guests and colleagues on sustainability. |
