| Seafield House is a former Georgian Coaching Inn centrally located in the coastal Northumbrian village of Alnmouth. Recently refurbished to a very high standard, the Grade II listed Seafield House provides accommodation in six rooms which are all en suite. A varied breakfast menu is on offer using local and, where possible, organic and fairtrade produce. Guests are welcome to make use of the guest lounge, with its roaring log fire during the winter months, as well as the beautiful walled garden which enjoys views over the River Aln estuary. Seafield House sits in the middle of the village of Alnmouth. Alnmouth is well served by the transport system and can be easily reached by road, rail or air. The A1 is just 10 minutes away by car whilst the railway station at Alnmouth (a 5-minute taxi ride or bus journey from Seafield House - there is a bus stop diagonally opposite), provides connections to the east coast mainline rail services between London and Edinburgh. For those travelling from further afield, Newcastle International Airport is just 25 miles to the south, offering an alternative gateway to the north. Visitors seeking to explore the many historic castles and other treasures that dot the Northumberland countryside, will find that Alnmouth provides the perfect central location from where to be based. The newly opened Alnwick Garden is a 10 minute drive from Alnmouth and can be accessed via the spacious car parking area or through the impressive grounds of Alnwick Castle. A short drive to the west takes you to the heart of the Cheviot Hills and opens up opportunities to visit several of the National Trust’s most impressive locations.
