| Dianne and Allan welcome you to Rysdale, a traditional Edwardian Lakeland house, built in 1905 and situated in a superb position in Ambleside that provides spectacular views of the surrounding fells and mountains. The 4 star accommodation provides bed and breakfast accommodation in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Ambleside itself provides a great variety of different attractions and Rysdale is an ideal base from which to start the days activities. A 10 minute stroll takes you to Lake Windermere for a cruise on the Lake and a pleasant walk through the woods brings you easily to Stockghyll waterfalls. Even closer, a 2-3 minute stroll is all that is needed for the many excellent shops, restaurants and bars of and the gentle surroundings of the parkland area. Rysdale is the perfect base for local fell and mountain walks as well as providing easy access for all that Ambleside and the surroundings area has to offer and we feel that our hospitality and personal service will make your stay one to remember. |

| Location: Rysdale is the ideal base from which to explore both Ambleside and the surrounding area. Many of our rooms overlook the most attractive park which has crazy golf, pitch and putt, tennis courts and a bowling green. Easy strolls take you to Stock Ghyll Waterfalls and then onwards and upwards over Wansfell Pike to Troutbeck. Rothay Park and the River Rothay are on our doorstep before ascending Todd Crag for breath-taking views of Lake Windermere. A ten minute stroll from Rysdale takes you to the Lake itself to sit and watch the boats or take a cruise. For the more adventurous, Red Screes and the Fairfield Horseshoe can all be walked from Rysdale. Ambleside itself is ideally situated for easy access to all the parts of the Lake District including picturesque villages, the lakes themselves and the spectacular mountain scenery, all steeped in history alongside the requirements for today's modern living. |
