| Our Accommodation OUR ACCOMMODATION Our newly built extension has 17 bedrooms. 2 four poster, 4 doubles, 9 twins, 1 family suite and 1 disabled. All rooms have en-suite facilities which include a full size bath with shower over. We also provide either a 2 seater sofa or twin easy chairs, TV, refreshment tray, direct dial telephone and internet access (via customer laptop), hairdryer. We also have 1 room specifically designed for the needs of guests in wheelchairs, which features easy ground floor access and a large wet room, Marble floors and stairs together with a glass roofed atrium enhance the feeling of light and space. | ![]() |
![]() | The Restaurant We have a separate non-smoking restaurant which has been enhanced by the addition of a sunlit conservatory, which features slate flooring and French oak dining tables and chairs.All our food is freshly prepared on the premises by our team of chefs, who endeavor to cater for all tastes including vegetarians and children. Our A La Carte menu (served in the evenings only) features delicious dishes which are changed to reflect the seasons using fresh local Cornish produce. Our bar menu is served both at lunchtimes and evenings which includes favorites like our homemade 'Royal Pie' and traditional Cod and Chips. There is also a wide selection of Chefs daily specials, and our traditional Sunday Lunch is well worth the visit. |
| The Bar The open plan bar area has slate floors and a large open fire. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and there are a number of real ales to choose from as well as a full range of lagers, beers, ciders, wines, spirits and soft drinks. Hot beverages are also available. For your entertainment we host live music throughout the year and a monthly quiz night. ![]() We are particularly pleased to have been included in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, and our range of cask ales usually includes Sharps Doom Bar Bitter along with a Skinner beer, as well as one to two local or national guest ales. Whether you have time to kill whilst waiting for a train, or you are looking for the traditional "inn" experience in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere The Royal Inn is the place to be. |
| Local Attractions The Eden Project The internationally renowned Eden Project is a mere 4 miles away and can be easily reached within a matter of minutes. Situated in an old China Clay pit, the enormous "Biospheres" themselves are a wondrous sight and the collections of plants from every corner of the world enable the visitor to experience life in the rain forests and the Mediterranean in the space of a few hours. Truro Truro is Cornwall's only city, but boasts an intriguing mixture of small curiosity shops, large department stores and of course its famous cathedral. St. Austell This ancient market town is only 10 minutes drive from The Royal Inn and you may wish to visit the St. Austell Brewery Visitor Centre or to the North of the town, the Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum. Newquay The fashionable resort of Newquay, with its fantastic beaches and bustling nightlife can be reached by taking the picturesque journey along the Newquay branch line from Par Station situated just opposite the Royal Inn. Fowey The increasingly fashionable harbour town of Fowey is only 10 minutes drive from the Royal Inn. Here you can relax down by the harbour and watch the shipping of all sorts and sizes as it makes its way up and down the estuary. The picturesque village of Polruan can be reached by water taxi, or why not take your car on the Bodinnick Ferry and follow the coastal road to Looe. |

| How to Find Us On entering Par from any direction, follow the brown tourist signs for "The Newquay Branch Line" or the signs for the Railway Station. The Royal Inn is situated immediately opposite the station entrance. |
