Within the house you will see the original wooden staircase, pine woodwork, stained and edged glass panels and brass fittings.

From the lounge and dining room there are magnificent panoramic views across the curling pond and pine woods to the Cromdale hills. The comfortable lounge available for guests to relax in after visiting some of the many attractions to be found in the area.

The spacious dining room is where guests can begin their day with a hearty highland breakfast. From fruit and cereals or good wholesome porridge, and to follow a full Scottish cooked breakfast, or for those who prefer a lighter start to the day, a cheese or fresh fruit platter, all followed with toast, homemade preserves and fresh brewed tea or coffee.

After breakfast take the short walk into historic Grantown, which has a superb 18 hole golf course, being one of many in the Spey Valley, and also a splendid selection of restaurants in the town, and some a short drive away.

All six bedrooms are en-suite, and have remote control colour televisions, tea and coffee making facilities, clock radio and hairdryer, and are furnished to a high standard. There is an ironing facility and for guests to use if required.

The Rossmor Guest House is an ideal base from which to visit the many attractions the Highlands have to offer. Follow the whisky trail and visit the distilleries, or the castles, woollen mills and potteries, or maybe a hill or mountain walk. Rich in bird life, visit the RSPB reserves at Loch Garten (home of the Ospreys) and Ruthven.

The River Spey offers the angler some of the best salmon and trout fishing in Scotland between February and the end of September. Or take a day trip to Fort William via Loch Ness, or maybe visit the misty Isle of Skye via Kyle of Lochalsh, the breathtaking scenery en-route makes the trip unforgettable. In winter Speyside is transformed, with skiing available at the Cairngorm Ski Centre, with its new Funicular Railway, and the Lecht Ski Centre, or just walk through the pine woods. Drying facilities for the outdoor enthusiasts are available at Rossmor if required. We also have a lockup building for skis and fishing rods (used at guests own risk). The Cairngorn Ski Slopes now have the advantage of the new Funicular railway which gives spectacular views over the Spey Valley and beyond and at the top is the new Ptarmigan restaurant and a very informative visitor exhibition.
