| SITUATION Ridgeway Farm is situated on the outskirts of Awliscombe, three miles from the pretty town of Honiton. The farm is easily accessible from either the M5 Junction 28, the A309 or A 303, but tucked away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. It is about ½ way between London and Cornwall so is an ideal place to break your journey on your when travelling on holiday. |

| The road through the village leads to an Iron Age Settlement at Hembury Fort where you can enjoy quiet walks and amazing far reaching views. Awliscombe and the surrounding villages also offer many bridle paths, woods and byways to wander. |

| The beaches of Burleigh Salterton, Sidmouth, Beer, Branscombe and Lyme Regis (made famous by the novels of Jane Austen and John Fowles) are within easy reach. Each one with a different quality. |

| Also close by are the lovely villages of Broadhembury and Gittisham with their pretty thatched cottages. The city of Exeter, with its' magnificent Cathedral and wide range of shops is only fifteen minutes drive. Exeter also contains underground passages, cinemas and theatres and a fantastic new shopping arcade. We are also lucky enough to be situated for easy access to either Dartmoor or Exmoor. The Moors are a perfect place for a picnic and to watch the wild ponies or a hike for those who are more energetic. HONITON The market town of Honiton is famous for its antique lace, once used on the Royal dresses of Queen Victoria and Queen Mary. Honiton is also well known as an antiques centre, so why not spend some time browsing the many and varied shops which range from 2nd hand books to classic furniture. There is a market every Tuesday and Saturday and a Farmer's Market once a month. Please do ask for details. Every year Honiton holds a large and interesting Agricultural Show on the first Thursday of August. Hot penny ceremony is in July. Honiton Hill Rally is over August Bank Holiday and the Carnival is held at the end of October. Honiton also provides a swimming pool and sport centre. |

As you approach Awliscombe you will see the sign for Ridgeway farm on the left hand side. Take the next left turning and then continue 500 metres along the lane and the farm will be found on the left. To find the farm from the A30 or the A303, drive into Honiton town centre. There are traffic lights where Awliscombe is clearly marked (A373) go through the village. Just before the end of 40 mile limit, with Godford Farm on your left, turn right up a very small road. Follow for 500m and the farm is ahead of you. From the M5 at junction 28, travel about 7 miles along the A373 towards Honiton.
