Redgate Smithy is in the heart of South East Cornwall, on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor,near the village of St.Cleer, and three miles north west of Liskeard. We are situated ina country lane just above the beautiful wooded Golitha Falls on the River Fowey. Lovely for walking!  We have a lovely woodland garden that guests are welcome to use, a patio and other seating areas,a large conservatory, and comfortable beamed, well equipped cottage style bedrooms.We aim to provide a relaxing atmosphere for our guests, with all guests' rooms separated upstairsaway from our own, each with their own colour TV, and tea & coffee making facilities. Good home-cooked breakfasts, using local produce, are prepared on the range,and served in the light and airy conservatory overlooking the garden.  Redgate Smithy is a quiet and peaceful B&B, with comfortable and pleasant rooms,all of which are equipped with TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, local information,recommendations where to eat in the evening, and an air of seclusion to rest your weary feet! All Room Rates include full English (Cornish!) or Continental style Breakfast,served in the Conservatory overlooking the garden.   We aim to provide a relaxing atmosphere for our guests,with all our guests' rooms separated upstairs away from our own, each with their own facilities.  Tariff (per person/per night): Double (en-suite) £30.00 ~ two people £60.00 per night Double (private bathroom) £30.00 ~ two people £60.00 per night Twin (en-suite) £30.00 ~ two people £60.00 per night Single Occupancy £40.00 per night SPECIAL BREAK / SHORT STAY One Week (Minimum 7 Nights) = One Night FREE (stay for seven nights ~ pay for six) We regret that we do not take credit/debit cards.  We offer good home-cooked breakfasts, using local produce, which are prepared on the range.These are cooked as they are ordered and served from 8.00 am until (last orders!) at around 9.15 am. Alternatively, we offer traditional continental breakfasts, served by ourfluent French-speaking Hostess (Julie). If you are booking in advance, please let us know if you have any special dietary needs. Breakfast is served in the conservatory, overlooking the garden.   We are situated in the small hamlet of Redgate, just to the west of St. Cleer,on the Upton Cross - Doublebois road. The drive to Redgate Smithy is pretty from any direction,whether down from the A30 on the moor at Jamaica Inn; down the B3254 from Launceston;up from the wooded Fowey valley and A38 at Doublebois; or up from the A38 via Liskeard.  |
