| Saffron Walden Redgates is situated just outside Saffron Walden, which is one of the prettiest towns in England. Saffron Walden is a typical English market town, and a great deal of the original street plan and fine buildings survive largely unaltered from the Middle Ages.
Its attractions including a magnificent church, a famous 17th century inn, its own museum and the 17th century Audley End House and gardens, with magnificence claimed to match that of Hampton Court.
