Chris and Heidi welcome you to Penrose an elegant Victorian House, built c1880, on the hill leading to St Austell, with views of Lostwithiel and a backdrop of the surrounding countryside, and only 10 minutes away from The Eden Proejct.

Be prepared to be spoilt, when you book into Penrose B+B as Chris and Heidi pride themselves on hospitality and the kind of finishing touches that make a visit memorable.

The bedrooms are a range of family, double or twin rooms, and most of the bedrooms are very large. Two are located on the ground floor and can be used together to accommodate a family of 5.

All bedrooms have en-suite facilities and there is free Wifi throughout the house.

Each bedroom is provided with flat screen TV, Freeview, DVD/CD Player, extensive tea and coffee making facilities, radio alarm clock, bottled mineral water, hand & body lotion, cotton buds, cotton wool and hairdryers. The ensuites have fresh towels, bathrobes, face cloths, shampoo/conditioner and shower gel.

There is a small guest lounge, however each bedroom has comfy chairs to relax in.

An iron and ironing board are available upon request.

Heidi's Big Breakfast with local bacon, sausages and free range eggs is a fantastic start to the day, but don't worry, if you want something lighter there is cereal, fruit and toast etc, that you can help yourself to.

All this is served in the dining room, which is a beautiful reminder of the opulence of a by-gone era.Penrose is the perfect base to explore the south and north coasts of Cornwall. Something Chris and Heidi have been doing for the past 22 years together.

Directions

From the A30, follow signs for Lostwithiel and you will end up in the centre of Lostwithiel. Turn right onto the main road for St Austell, follow the road going up the hill past the mini escape lane. Penrose is on your right, go past our sign and turn right into Scrations Lane. Parking is immediately on the right.

From the A38, turn left at Dobwalls onto the A390. Go through Lostwithiel and as you come out of the town going up the steep hill on your right is Penrose. Turn right after the Penrose sign, into Scrations Lane. Parking is immediately on the right.
