Welcome to Pennyghael Holidays. Hotel & self-catering accommodation overlooking Loch Scridain on the Isle of Mull.
We offer comfortable accommodation, providing great breakfasts, wonderful dinners and a warm welcome. Prices for hotel accommodation start at 45GBP per person per night for bed & breakfast, based on two people sharing a double room.
We also have three self-catering cottages within the hotel grounds. Prices start at £300 per week for a two bed cottage sleeping 4. |
Rooms & Rates
The hotel has six guest rooms consisting of three doubles, one twin, a family room sleeping three and a single room. The twin and single rooms are situated on the ground floor; the others are on the first floor. All rooms are nicely furnished, are centrally heated and have their own ensuite bath/shower room.
The tariff for 2007 is as follows:
- Double or twin ensuite from £45 per person per night.
- Single ensuite £65 per night.
- Single occupancy of a double or twin room is £70 per night (single occupancy is not offered during busy periods).
- All rates include breakfast and include VAT charged at 17.5%
All rooms have digital television, radio alarm clock with CD player, hospitality tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, bottled water & biscuits, hairdryer, complimentary dram of Mull whisky, wonderful, calming views of Loch Scridain or Ben More. |
Cottages
We have three self-contained cottages for hire within the hotel grounds. All have a sitting area with digital television; a fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer & washing machine; and a bath/shower room.
Each cottage has beautiful views across Loch Scridain and as they face west, you get to see some marvellous sunsets.
Pine Cottage has a twin bedroom & a double bedroom and comfortably sleeps four. There is an open plan kitchen/dining/sitting area. The weekly charge is £300.
Clansman Cottage also has a separate lounge area. The cottage has a twin & a double bedroom with a small dressing/bedroom just off, which is an ideal place for a cot or an occasional bed. The weekly charge is £300.
Oak Cottage is the largest cottage with three bedrooms, two doubles and one twin. There is also a large kitchen/dining, sitting area. The weekly charge is £400.
A deposit for half the total stay is required at the time of booking; the balance is due six weeks before the start of your holiday. Once you have confirmed availability with us, please go here to complete the booking process.
All prices include hot water, heating & electricity, bedlinen and towels. We also provide a welcome pack of bread, milk, tea and sugar. Please remember to stock up with the bulk of your provisions before leaving the mainland. There is a local store situated at the Post Office at Pennyghael. A wider selection can be found at the grocery stores at Craignure, Tobermory and Bunessan. |
Food & Drink
We serve breakfast and evening meals in the restaurant.
Breakfast is served between 08.30 & 09.15. Early breakfasts can be arranged if you're on an early ferry back to the mainland or if you're booked on a trip or excursion.
Evening meals are served from 8.00. We offer a five course set menu which changes daily. There is a strong emphasis on locally farmed meat & locally caught fish. We use locally grown seasonal vegetables wherever possible.
We serve pre-dinner drinks in the lounge from 7.00. We have an extensive wine list and an ever growing collection of single malts on offer as well as a selection of other spirits, beers and soft drinks. |
