| Directions Falmouth is on the South Coast of Cornwall, and a relatively simple journey down the M5 to Junction 30, follow the A30 towards Truro and then the A39 to Falmouth. There are also rail connections to Falmouth, and Falmouth station is only a few minutes from Penwarren. Approach from Truro on the A39, bypassing Penryn. Follow the signs to Falmouth passing the ASDA Superstore on your left. Continue on the bypass which will eventually lead you to the main approach to Falmouth. Follow the signs to the DOCKS and BEACHES (avoiding the town centre). Go straight across at the traffic lights at Kimberley Park Road, and then straight across the next two mini-roundabouts into Melvill Road. Follow the signs to the RAILWAY STATION and Avenue Road branches off on your Left just before the station. Penwarren is immediately on your left opposite the Princess Pavilion Theatre. Guests' parking is via the lane at the left hand side of the building. |

The historic and scenic Roseland Peninsula can be reached via the King Harry ferry. Many of the top attractions in the South West are within easy reach of Falmouth including the Lands End complex, the Eden Project and Flambards Theme Park. For the more ecologically minded the Gweek Seal Sanctuary, Hayle's Paradise Bird Park and the Goonhilly Earth Station make a fascinating day out, and Cornwall has a wealth of National Trust properties and beautiful gardens. The Falmouth Maritime Museum is only a few minutes walk away, as is the Princess Pavilion Theatre, Gyllingvase Beach and Pendennis Castle. If you are a "sporty" person, Falmouth is a haven for all kinds of sailing activities (Falmouth has one the finest natural deep water harbours in the world with excellent safe moorings and marine facilities), the South Coast has some of the most stunning scenery for the avid walker, and there are a wide range of sports activities catered for in the area (for example - golf, surfing, bowls, bowling, tennis, squash and the martial arts). There are a number of fishing opportunities including deep sea, shark, trips around the bay for mackerel or shore fishing off one of the many quays or rocky outcrops. Catches can be excellent.
