Whitely Bay is an excellent base for business people with calls to make around Tyneside, Wearside, Teeside or the Border country. Road access is excellent, both North and South through the Tyne Tunnel. Newcastle Central Station or the International Airport are within 12 miles.

The town, with good beaches, leisure pool,Spanish City Fun Park, lively nightlife and shops has somethingto offer the whole family. Scottish and Scandinavian visitors havebeen coming to Whitely Bay for years - no wonder. It's the ideal location for touring holidays and the glorious Northumberland coast. Within two hours youcan see Hadrians Roman Wall, or take in half a dozen castles, climb the Cheviots, explore the Borders or North Yorkshire Moors and Dales, even get into the English Lake District. If you preferthe shops, visit the famous Metro Centre, Europe's largest shopping complex, or Newcastle's Eldon Square,both can be reached within half an hour. A short stroll away is quieterCullercoats and Tynemouth, or you can watch the day's catch being landed in North Shields.

Overlooking the park and close to the sea front and Metro railway system, the hotel has sixteen bedrooms, most of them have en suite facilities and some have sea views. All rooms are equipped with colour TV and beverage making facilities - one even has a king size waterbed. All guests can enjoy our fitness room, solarium and licensed bar with pool table.

The Park Lodge is a family run hotel and has a friendly relaxed atmosphere coupled with an excellent restaurant which complements the cuisine that has been highly commended by the AA.
