We are a family run bed and breakfast with great views, mid-way between Leyburn and Aysgarth Falls, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this is the Old Vicarage Guest House.
The Old Vicarage is a Grade II listed residence, parts of which are believed to date back over 300 years and provides guest accommodation with views from all rooms. The house is situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, in the heart of what is popularly known as 'Herriot Country', 3 miles from Leyburn and 4 miles from Aysgarth Falls.
It lies on the edge of the ancient village of West Witton, to the south side of the A684 country road, with panoramic views across the Wensleydale valley as far as Castle Bolton to the North, and with unrestricted views of Penhill to the South.

 | All rooms have recently been refurbished to a quality standard and have the benefit of flat screen TV's and freeview channels, beverage tray, hairdryers, shaver socket and radio alarm clocks.
The full breakfast includes fresh fruit, cereals, fresh juice, yoghurt, various teas and coffee followed by a cooked breakfast of your choice. A vegetarian option is also available.
With Aysgarth Falls, Castle Bolton and Middleham Castle all within 3 miles. The village also boasts a village shop, church, traditional pub and a specialist seafood restaurant. The unusual attraction of "The Forbidden Corner" with its Grottos, secret passages and untold mysteries, is only 1 mile away and is proving a memorable visit for young and old alike.

Accommodation
Room 1: A large superior room with dual aspect both north and south of the house with great views in both directions. This room has a king size four poster bed and two comfortable chairs; it can also accommodate one or two beds for children if required. En suite facilities with a power shower.

Room 2: A standard twin bedded room with views to the north over Wensleydale, en suite facilities with power shower.

Room 3: A standard double room, again with uninterrupted views over Wensleydale, en suite facilities with a power shower.

Room 4: This is a large room with dual aspect, to the north across the valley and over the orchard to the south. This room has a super king size four poster bed and two comfortable chairs. The en suite shower room has a power shower.

Room 5: This is a superior double room which overlooks the orchard to the west, the en suite bathroom has a Jacuzzi whirlpool bath and shower.

The Old Vicarage Is a grade 2 listed building with large gardens and a secure car park, making it an ideal base for touring in your classic car, you can be sure of a warm welcome and friendly advice on routes and places of interest from owner Grant Humphreys, a classic car enthusiast himself.
Enjoy the thrill of driving amongst the wonderful Yorkshire scenery on roads that are much the same as they were when your car was new. The area is home to many popular TV series, All Creatures Great and Small was filmed locally, Heartbeat was filmed at Goathland in North Yorkshire Moors and Brideshead Revisited as Castle Howard, all within a leisurely drive.
We are able to accommodate up to ten guests making us an ideal venue for club events, mid week and weekend tours.
