Our village is nestled in the Lincolnshire Wolds between the wonderful Tennyson Country and the golden sands of the East Coast, making it the ideal location from which to explore the many local attractions. |

| Accommodation The Pink Room with an en-suite shower has fine views across the Lincolnshire Marsh The Yellow Room which overlooks the front garden has an en-suite bathroom The Twin Room has an adjacent private bathroom with bath and shower; it also has views across the Marsh. ![]() There is a sitting room with colour television and open fire set aside for our guests, who are also welcome to enjoy the extensive gardens. |

| Our Location The house is approached by a sweeping gravel drive bordered with lawns and mature herbaceous borders. There is a large secluded rear garden; a quiet place to unwind and relax. The quiet village of Muckton nestling in the Wolds is perfectly placed as a home base for exploring Tennyson country. The magnificent Lincolnshire coastline is on our doorstep. There you will find mile upon mile of sandy beaches with the bustling resorts of Skegness and Mablethorpe. Good food and entertainment abounds in quaint local market towns like Louth Alford and Horncastle. There is a wealth of places to visit, from Castles and water mills, to Cadwell Park motor racing circuit and Manby Showground. For those of a gentler sporting disposition, Market Rasen Racecourse is a short drive away. The area is perfect for Cycling, Rambling (The Viking Way) and Horse Riding. Short stay livery can be arranged with the family run stables just down the lane. |

| House History The Old Rectory, a late Georgian house originally home to the rector of Muckton and nearby Burwell, is set in three acres of grounds in a beautiful peaceful area of un-spoilt Lincolnshire. We aim to provide a quiet relaxed setting for guests who may be on business, visiting relatives or who simply want to get away from it all for a few days. Cadwell Park, Manby Park and Kenwick Park are all close by. We have ample off road parking, ideal if you are racing at Cadwell and need to bring your motorcycle or car on a trailer.We can also provide a lock up for bicycles if you are on a cycling holiday. You will be welcomed with tea or coffee on arrival and a full Lincolnshire breakfast is provided. Breakfast times are flexible and we are happy to accommodate those requiring an early start.
