| Nestling at the foot of the Flowerdale valley, with the river flowing under its charming old stone footbridge, The Old Inn is a traditional Coaching Inn located in a picturesque setting with spectacular views across Gairloch harbour to Skye and the Outer Isles. |


| The Old Inn provides a warm welcome and relaxing atmosphere for all travellers to the area. | Food plays a very important role at The Old Inn, and guests return again and again to savour the renowned Scottish West Coast seafood and highland game, mostly comprising of locally caught lobster, crab, langoustine, mussels, scallops, salmon and venison. The popular spit roast and seafood are a speciality of the house and are complemented by a comprehensive wine list. | All comfortably furnished bedrooms have either en suite bath and/or shower, and in addition have colour television, direct dial telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. For those with a young family, there is a baby listening facility in all rooms. |


| Gairloch with its picturesque harbour enjoys outstanding panoramas to the Torridon Mountains and over the sea to the Isles of Skye, Rona, Raasay, and even the Outer Hebrides. There are many fine walks and climbs locally, and for the hardened mountaineer An Teallach, Slioch, Liathach and Ben Eighe in the Torridons provide exceptional challenges. As a centre for touring some of Britains wildest and most spectacular scenery, Gairloch is an excellent base from which to explore the many natural assets of Wester Ross such as beautiful Loch Maree, The Ben Eighe Nature Reserve, the famous Inverewe Gardens just 7 miles away, the local Heritage Museum and the breathtaking coastline to Ullapool and beyond to the Summer Isles. Sea angling trips and marine wildlife charters leave from Gairloch pier, located adjacent to The Old Inn. |


| The local 9 hole golf course is superbly maintained and offers glorious views to the Isle of Skye, and is only a short walk from The Old Inn. Preferential green fees for guests. There is safe swimming from many golden beaches, fishing in sea lochs and highland rivers, superb birdwatching, or seek the tranquillity of the hill lochs for wild trout. A pony trekking centre is within walking distance; sail, windsurf or canoe for a day of exhilarating fun at the Big Sands outdoor activity facility or participate in a variety of activities at the Gairloch Leisure Centre. |
