| Welcome Whether you are seeking the ideal place for Bed and Breakfast (B&B) in the Peak District or Bed and Breakfast in Buxton for the first time or have stayed somewhere before but want something better, Oldfield is the place to stay. Avril and Colin Brett welcome you to our spacious and most comfortable Buxton Guest House equipped with everything to make your stay an enjoyable one. We provide Bed and Breakfast to a very high standard and all our bedrooms are en-suite. The Oldfield Guest House, Buxton, offers Bed and Breakfast accommodation in a stone built detached house built over 100 years ago that benefits from retaining the heat in the Winter months whilst remaining cool in the height of Summer. Oldfield is conveniently located about a minute's walk from the Pavilion Gardens and within 10 minutes walk of all the restaurants, pubs, and clubs. The Buxton Spring Gardens shopping centre is also about 10 minutes walk from Oldfield and boasts M&S and Waitrose amongst the many varied shops from small specialist to large stores. The beautiful Opera House is considered to be one of the best of its type in the country is within a 10-minute walk across the Pavilion gardens. Oldfield is in a quiet location and has its own grounds for the enjoyment of guests including a large and very attractive rear garden with ponds and a stream with a Japanese bridge over. There is a private car park for all guests to the rear of the property hidden from the passing public for extra security. Oldfield is a non-smoking establishment. Most credit cards accepted. |

| The Guest House Each spacious bedroom has complimentary bottles of Buxton water, tea, drinking chocolate and coffee making facilities. A remote control LCD/DVD Combo TV (Freeview), hair drier, and radio clock alarm are in each bedroom. All en-suite bathrooms and shower rooms have bathroom toiletries, wipes, cotton wool, and just in case you forgot to pack, shavers and cream and toothbrushes and paste. They all have full sized bath sheets to complement the modern electric or power showers and in two rooms a bath. The bedrooms all have comfortable beds including two rooms with King sized Hypnos beds by appointment to HM the Queen. All beds are fitted with individual luxury bed linen. Oldfield has a ground floor en-suite double room that is accessed via the two steps in to the Porch and one step in to the Hallway. It is therefore suitable for people with limited mobility who can rely upon their partner to assist them. Oldfield has a further two double rooms and two twin rooms. Oldfield also has a guest lounge equipped with 26" LCD/DVD TV Combo with Sky Freesat and Freeview, radio, books and games. Generally we aim to restrict the number of Guests to eight to ensure personal service and comfort. |

| Tariff and Booking AA top 10% of the UK Guest Houses Award plus breakfast quality award. Our room rates vary according to seasons and prices quoted are for 2 persons sharing a room and include a choice of English/Continental/or Vegetarian breakfasts. We do take 1 night stays but generally not during the mid and peak season of June July & August.However, it is always worth checking for availability at all times. Tariff 2011 - per night for 2 persons sharing a room.
