| Welcome Avril and Colin Brett welcome you to our spacious and most comfortable Guest House equipped with everything to make your stay an enjoyable one. All the bedrooms are en-suite. The Oldfield Guest House is a stone built detached house built over 100 years ago that benefits from retaining the heat in the winter months whilst remaining cool in the height of summer. Oldfield is conveniently located about a minute's walk from the Pavilion Gardens and within 10 minutes walk of all the restaurants, pubs, and clubs. The Spring Gardens shopping centre is also about 10 minutes walk from Oldfield and boasts M&S amongst the many varied shops from small specialist to large stores. The beautiful Opera House is considered to be one of the best of its type in the country is within a 10-minute walk across the Pavilion gardens. Oldfield is in a quiet location and has its own grounds for the enjoyment of guests including a large and very attractive rear garden with ponds and a stream with a Japanese bridge over. There is a private car park for all guests to the rear of the property hidden from the passing public for extra security. Oldfield is a non-smoking establishment. All major credit cards accepted. |

| The Guest House As soon as you step into the porch with its original Minton floor tiles and then into the main hallway with its original Victorian stained glass windows you will appreciate the Victorian experience of luxury living. Each spacious bedroom has complimentary bottles of Buxton water, tea, drinking chocolate and coffee making facilities. A remote control television, hair drier, and radio clock alarm are in each bedroom. All en-suite bathrooms and shower rooms have Bronnley bathroom toiletries by appointment to HM the Queen, wipes, cotton wool, and just in case you forgot to pack, shavers and cream and toothbrushes and paste. They all have full sized bath towels to compliment the modern electric or power showers and in two rooms a bath. The bedrooms all have comfortable beds including two rooms with King sized Hypnos beds by appointment to HM the Queen. All beds are fitted with individual luxury bed linen. Oldfield has a ground floor en-suite double room that is accessed via the two steps in to the Porch and one step in to the Hallway. It is therefore suitable for people with limited mobility who can rely upon their partner to assist them. Oldfield has a further two double rooms and two twin rooms. We provide a choice of breakfasts from a full English breakfast to a Continental breakfast or smaller breakfasts, and we cater for vegetarians. Click on the link below to view our menu. Oldfield also has a guest lounge equipped with TV and VHS recorder, radio, books and games. Generally we aim to restrict the number of Guests to eight to ensure personal service and comfort. |

| Tariff and Booking Our standard rate for a one-night stay is £39 pppn for two persons sharing a twin or a double en-suite room. We do not have any single rooms. Generally we do not take an advance booking for a one-night weekend stay in the peak season. Tariff 2008 - per person per night for 2 persons sharing a room. Two or more night stay per person per night £35 Bargain Breaks 3 night stay for 2 inc. breakfast £198 6 night stay for 2 inc. breakfast £372 Except May to September inclusive & Bank Holidays. All the above prices include a choice of a Full English breakfast with produce from our local butcher or Continental Breakfast or a Vegetarian Breakfast. These are complimented by a very comprehensive range of buffet items such as fresh fruit, organic yoghurts etc. Please note we accept most debit and credit cards the details of which will secure your booking and will be debited on departure or non-appearance for those nights we are unable to let to someone else.
