 A warm welcome awaits you at this elegant end of terrace Victorian Guest House and all the help needed to enjoy a visit to this traditional seaside resort with its two miles of sandy beach and beautiful Exe estuary. Guest Rooms Our six guest rooms are all attractively decorated, clean and comfortable, and all have an en-suite shower and WC. Wi-fi is available on request. Our accommodation comprises: Ground floor: a twin-bedded room allowing easy access for the less mobile, a light and airy dining room First floor: a large double room, a twin-bedded room and a single room Second floor: two double rooms All of our six guest rooms have local artists' prints enhancing the walls, are double glazed and have thermostatically controllable radiators for your comfort. There is a complimentary tray and an LCD television with a built-in DVD player receiving either Freeview or free Sky digital channels. Each en-suite comprises a shower, shaver point with illuminated mirror, WC and basin, with towels and a basket of toiletries. Also in the room is a pine wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables and lamps together with one or two cane chairs. The large double room has a seating area in the bay window. Irons, hairdryers alarm clocks etc. are available on request. Each room has a folder of ideas on local facilities and attractions as well as suggestions for local walking, touring and dining. Books, maps, magazines and games are to be found near the breakfast room by the tourist leaflets.
Breakfast is served between 8.15am & 9am in the dining room on the ground floor. Earlier breakfasts can be arranged by prior arrangement. For the really early riser we offer a packed breakfast of a sandwich, fruit juice and fruit. Buffet starters include fresh fruit, cereals, fruit juices, tinned grapefruit or prunes and preserves. Porridge, kippers available by prior request. Tea, ground or instant Coffee, a variety of fruit Teas and a choice of wholemeal or white toast are also served. Our cooked breakfast comprises a traditional grilled breakfast of sausage, bacon, mushrooms, baked beans, fresh tomato and fried, poached or scrambled egg. Alternatively, a vegetarian grilled breakfast with veggie Lincolnshire sausage and hash browns or a lighter option e.g. lightly scrambled egg or poached eggs on toast. Whatever time of year or whatever your age Exmouth has plenty to offer. The beach is a joy to visit and a photographers' paradise. The 2 mile promenade stretches to Orcombe Point providing a level walk withwonderful views and plenty of seats and beach cafes en route.The local walking is spectacular and well waymarked as Exmouth lies on the South-West Coast Path. Stroll along the Jurassic coast, up the estuary to pretty Lympstone or take a ferry or water taxi to Dawlish Warren beach and nature reserve. At the harbour take a boat trip around the estuary or along the coast with Stuart Line Cruises. Exmouth offers a wide variety of shopping, entertainment, sports, history and many lovely areas in which to just sit and admire views. The town is renowned for its floral displays and parks. The Exe estuary is a two minute walk from New Moorings and offers a fascinating expanse of water that draws bird watchers, artists, photographers, ramblers, sailors and water sports enthusiasts. The beautiful city of Exeter, the charming resorts of Sidmouth, Dawlish and Teignmouth, East Devon moorland and the unique habitat of Dartmoor are all but a short distance away. |
