Many of our guests visit the historic cities of Chester and Shrewsbury, and the market towns of Wrexham, Whitchurch, Ellesmere and Llangollen. We welcome race-goers to Bangor on Dee races (3 miles), walkers, cyclists and hikers. Facilities One double and one bright twin-bedded rooms with own bathroom and a separate shower/ WC. Guests have their own entrance, a large private sitting/dining room and use of conservatory. The house is set in a two acre garden and is surrounded by fields and woodland.
Worthenbury is very rural and there is no public transport access. There are several local taxi companies and the approximate fare to Wrexham is £13 - £15. Mobile phone reception is good and there is a land line which is available to guests in emergencies. Access to the house is by narrow single track road. There is a wide gravelled turning and parking area, 3 steps up onto patio and one further low step up into the porch. The sitting room/dining area is on the ground floor. The staircase is comprised of 13 carpeted steps with a turn, bannister and hand rail onto the landing. The double bedroom is off the landing opposite the large separate bathroom with deep roll top bath, WC and pedestal hand basin. There is a separate WC and step into shower.
