   | 'Maybank', An original Verwood potter's cottage situated conveniently opposite "The Monmouth Ash" for pub lunches and evening meals. We welcome holiday and business travellers to our homely atmosphere - it is also a convenient location while you search for a new property in this attractive area. Verwood is situated centrally for most parts of Wessex including the Thomas Hardy county of Dorset and close to the picturesque New Forest. The borders of Hampshire and Wiltshire are also close by with their ancient cities of Winchester and Salisbury and their historic cathedrals in unique settings. Pastimes and entertainment such as fishing, riding, golf and walking are all easily available as are visits to The Bournemouth International Centre (BIC), Beaulieu Motor Museum, Marwell Zoo to name but a few of the attractions. The scenic Cranborne Chase drive (ancient hunting ground of King John), Poole Harbour, Bournemouth beaches and Brownsea Island (for picnics and open-air theatre) are also within easy travelling distance. Breakfast Room For a hearty breakfast to start your day How To Find Maybank Directions to Verwood from M3 Continue onto M27 (West) at Eastleigh. Follow M27 directly onto A31 past Ringwood. On reaching the main Texaco filling station immediately after Ringwood, take the next turning - B3081- (50metres) to Verwood. Drive under the dual carriageway bridge and bear left to Verwood (4 miles through the forest). Just before the village shops turn left into Vicarage Road and drive for an 1/2mile to The Monmouth Ash Pub and car park (on the left) - Maybank (78) is opposite the pub. If you miss Vicarage Road, drive past all the shops to the roundabout, turn left and then right at the next roundabout and continue for an 1/4mile to the Monmouth Ash car park as above. Directions to Verwood from Poole/Wimborne Take the A31 Ferndown by pass and leave at the West Moors/Verwood junction. Continue through West Moors and on to Verwood. On reaching the village keep the Fish and Chip shop on the left and continue on Manor Road for 100 metres to The Monmouth Ash Pub and car park on the right. Maybank (78) is opposite the pub.
