Mariners Hotel, 4K

The Mariners Hotel is situated in the heart of Lyme Regis. Which lies at the mouth of the River Lym, on the South West Coast of Dorset. Surrounded by rich countryside, it has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and the spectacular Jurassic coastline has been awarded World Heritage Site status, making it a popular destination for all kinds of visitors.

The hotel itself is a 17th Century building, once home to the Philpot sisters, who are well known for there fossil hunting in the area, the Philpot museum in Lyme was given in honour of the sisters. It has also been scheduled as 'of historic interest', and was immortalised by Beatrix Potter in the 'Tale of Little Pig Robinson'.

You can also dine in our newly refurbished restaurant, open to both residents and non residents. Where you can enjoy a relaxing candlelit dinner looking over Lyme bay. We have a fantastic new menu available and can cater for specific dietary requirements. Alternatively we have a great bar menu available in the bar lounge, which looks out over Lyme.

Please note we do not take advanced one night bookings on Friday and Saturday nights.

We have one family room, consisting of two connecting rooms to sleep a family of four. We also have two rooms suitable to put in Z-beds in. Children under 6 years have a 50% Reduction on B & B terms.
All of our bedrooms are En Suite and have Tea/Coffee making facilities, Remote Control Television, Direct Dial Telephones and Heating.

LATE ARRIVALS: are required to inform reception if arriving after 6.00 p.m.

SINGLE OCCUPANCY: of a double or twin room will be supplemented by up to £15.
Last minute reservations accepted with authority to charge deposit to Visa or Access.

ACCOUNTS: All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit / debit card however Cheques are accepted by prior arrangement or with a valid cheque card.

Deposits and cancellations:
For all bookings a deposit of £25.00 per person will be required. This deposit is refundable if the accommodation is re-sold at the appropriate rate or cancelled with 28 days notice. However we must charge for bookings cancelled within 28 days of your arrival. We will only do this if we are unable to re-let the room. No refunds will be given for failing to take up any component included in the price of your holiday.

Directions

Lyme Regis is about 155 miles from London, on the South West Coast of Dorset. Lyme Regis is easily accessible by road, rail, sea and air. For those not wishing to drive National Express coaches run seasonally. While Rail services from Waterloo to Exeter stop at Axminster for Lyme Regis. There are also car ferries from French ports to Plymouth, Poole, Portsmouth and Weymouth all of which are within an hours driving distance. Bristol, Exeter and Bournemouth airports are all within a short distance linking Lyme Regis up with the rest of Europe.

Once in Lyme Regis, take the right hand fork at the top of the town and the Mariners is about 200m up on the right hand side, with ample car parking opposite.
