Richard and Pamela Betts enjoy welcoming guests to their Grade II listed farmhouse in the pretty Berkshire village of Hampstead Norreys. 21st-century comforts include a splendid ensuite with whirlpool bath, and a luxurious annexe apartment, also suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Easily accessible from the M4 or A34, Manor Farm House offers a very high standard of accommodation in a ground floor annexe and two double rooms in the main house, ranging in price per room. Phone 01635 201276 for bookings.

Evening meals are available at the White Hart pub, two minutes walk down the road.


The House

The house has been in the family since 1817, handed down through both maternal and paternal forbears, the Lowsleys and the Betts.

Recent improvements have created warm and comfortable guest rooms, offering spacious single, double or twin accommodation with period character and charm.

Richard, the chef, will serve a full English or continental breakfast, between 7:30 and 9:00am, in the beautiful oak-panelled dining room.


Garden and Grounds

You are welcome to enjoy the garden and explore the farmyard with its historic barns and granary.


The Annexe

The annexe is an immaculate apartment with its own front door, which is accessible to the infirm or partially disabled.

Directions

From A34/M4 Junction 13 (Chieveley)
Follow the brown Living Rainforest signs north to Hermitage. Turn left onto the B4009 road and follow the road to Hampstead Norreys.

From Newbury
Take the B4009 road north at the Robin Hood roundabout, through Hermitage to Hampstead Norreys.

When in Hampstead Norreys
Turn right into Church Street at the mini roundabout. Travel 150 yards, passing the church on your right, and then right into the drive in the front of the Manor House. Entrance to Bed and Breakfast accommodation is through the gate in the Yew Hedge.

From London/Reading, M4 Junction 12
Follow signs for Pangbourne. Just after the roundabout at the junction of the A4 and A340, turn left and follow the road to Bradfield and Yattendon. At the Royal Oak in turn right and continue on this road into the village. At the "Give Way" sign turn left down the hill, joining the B4009. Pass the White Hart pub on your right then follow the high brick wall on your left, past the farm entrance and into the drive in front of the Manor House. Entrance to Bed and Breakfast accommodation is through the gate in the yew hedge.

By aeroplane or ferry...
We are only 50 minutes from Heathrow and easily accessible from Portsmouth.
