Magdalen House, is a Norfolk Brick and Flint cottage built in 1829 and retains many original features. It is situated in the former Anglo Saxon settlement of 'Buntings' and boasts a quiet environment, range of wildlife and rural setting. It is within 5 miles of Oxburgh Hall (National Trust), Gooderstone Water Gardens and the Iceni Village in the heart of West Norfolk, an area famed for its ancient churches, windmills and village signs. It is central for exploring the historic towns of King's Lynn, Swaffham, Ely and Bury St. Edmunds, and for visiting Sandringham, Norfolk Lavender, Pensthorpe Waterfowl Park and Thetford Forest, amongst many other places of interest.
West Norfolk is an excellent area for cycling, bird watching and rambling. We can offer storage for cycles, and packed lunches can be provided on request.
 Your cottage style double bedroom and private bathroom are situated in one corridor in our house.
The room is centrally heated, has tea and coffee making facilities, and a colour TV.
There is a dedicated parking area for guests.
No smoking. No dogs.
£25-00 per person per night. £35-00 single occupancy. 10% discount for 3 or more nights.
A deposit of £10-00 per room is requested to confirm reservations. In case of cancellation, deposits are only returnable if the accommodation is subsequently rebooked.
Payment by sterling cheque or cash. We are not, at the moment, able to accept payment by credit or debit card.
Please note we are closed over Christmas and New Year.
The garden at Magdalen House was created from scratch. There are many 'rooms' to be explored and sat in. Guests are invited to wander but need to know we have dogs who may join you, and therefore it is vital that all gates remain shut. If you have the urge to 'weed', please feel free.
