| Royal Tunbridge Wells, a splendid Georgian town, lies at the heart of one of the most beautiful and scenic stretches of the English Countryside. Known as the Garden of England, Kent is a favoured destination for those who want to enjoy the elegant surroundings of town and village in a countryside setting, and yet just a short distance from the hustle and bustle of London. Royal Tunbridge Wells was founded by nobility, and was built around the discovery of the famous Chalybeate Spring in 1606. In 1909 Tunbridge Wells received recognition of its many royal visitors, when King Edward VII granted the town its "Royal" Prefix. |
| Madeira Court is an impressive, detached Edwardian town house. A family-run bed and breakfast establishment, it is located close to the centre of the beautiful spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells. Built in 1910 with gardens and lovely views, it is situated in a quiet location in the centre of the "old Village" area of the town. We have open fires and a large comfortable breakfast room with views to the garden. We are within walking distance to all that Tunbridge Wells has to offer! Shops, Cafes, restaurants and galleries as well as splendid local pubs selling good food. We offer comfortable accommodation and we use Organic local farm produce, local organic eggs and freshly baked bread for our exceptional full English breakfasts. We also serve English ale - family brewed and voted "Beer of the Year". |
