Recommended by trusted "Holiday Which" magazine, also a member of Wales Great Little Places, Lower Haythog is a working dairy farm, approached by a private drive set in 250 secluded acres of picturesque, unspoilt countryside, 5 miles north of Haverfordwest. Its the home of Bill and Nesta Thomas and son Andrew who manages the farm.

The farmhouse dates back to the 14th century, but has been sympathetically restored to provide high standards of comforts for today's discerning traveller. Guests from all over the world enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere.

The bedrooms in the main house and the cottages are imaginatively designed and furnished, each with its own very individual style, which have ensuite or private facilities, colour TV, hair dryer, bathrobe and complimentary tea/coffee trays.

Traditional breakfasts and delicious dinners are served in the cosy dining room. As "Farmhouse Food" award winners, we offer a wide variety of dishes traditionally based with tasty improvements using the best local produce. Lower Haythog is unlicensed so bring your own wine.

Evenings draw guests to the oak-beamed lounges, which retain their original charm with exposed stonework, wooden beams, and on cooler days, cheerful log fires burning. Full central heating throughout.

You and your family may like to see the cows being milked, or ride the pony we keep. You may choose to go at leisure though wooded walks to the well stocked trout ponds.

Those looking for something a little more relaxing can sit in the conservatory with a good book or just wander around the beautiful garden.

Over a period of 25 years, Bill and Nesta have built a reputation for providing warm and friendly hospitality, making Lower Haythog the ideal holiday or short break choice all year round, a farmhouse where the quality of life matters.

We have had reviews and recommendations in quite a few national newspapers, including the 'Daily Mail', as well as being commended and written about in various other publications such as "Pembrokeshire's Historic Houses", "Wales' Great Little Places 2000", "The Red Book - Eat Well in Wales" and "A Guide to Garden Visits".
