The square stone, and interior oak framed farmhouse, is full of charm and character. Visit Montgomery, a beautifully preserved Georgian gem; Welshpool with Llanfair railway and N.T.Powis Castle; Newtown, set on the River Severn; and the Marches towns of Bishop's Castle, Clun (quietest place under the sun) or Ludlow, with a wealth of antique shops. This is magnificent walking country, with uncrowded roads full of history, scenery, flora and fauna. |
