| The Limes is the perfect base for your visit. It is full of character and within a two-minute walk of Swanage town centre. The beach, clifftop walks and all that Purbeck has to offer are within easy reach. |

| What we do The Limes is informal, comfortable and well-appointed and we are pleased to welcome families, groupsand pets. We have a selection of double, twin and family rooms, all ensuite and some with sea views. There are also three single rooms, which share two bathrooms. Each room has a colour television and tea and coffee making facilities. Cots and high chairs are available and we offer a baby-sitting service by arrangement. At breakfast choose from our buffet table of fruit juices, cereals, yoghurts and fruit, followed by a generous cooked breakfast served from a menu. Our cosy licensed bar is open in the evenings and a games room, with a pool table, children's books and toys, adds to the friendly relaxed atmosphere. Pets are very welcome at the Limes and are allowed everywhere except the dining room. Owners are asked to bring suitable bedding for their dogs. For the comfort of all our guests smoking is not permitted anywhere in the building. Outdoor pursuits are a part of a Purbeck holiday and The Limes has a laundry with drying facilities and iron.There is a private car park at the rear of the building and secure storage is available for cycles and other equipment. |

| What to see and do You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to entertaining yourself in the Isle of Purbeck. Above all, there are the lovely beaches and wonderful countryside to explore. The suggestions below are only a small selection of the places our visitors enjoy. Less than a mile from The Limes is Durlston Country Park, acres of beautiful countryside, dog friendly and with an informative Visitors' Centre and a great snack spot at The Lookout Café. Guided Walks and other activities take place regularly. The Park can also form the start of longer walks along the coast. Swanage Steam Railway runs all year round (except between New Year and February half-term). In addition to the regular timetable it offers dining trains and an evening diesel service in the summer to Corfe Castle, a beautiful village mostly built from stones from the ruined Castle itself. The pubs in Corfe offer good food and entertainment. Enid Blyton's links with the area are celebrated at Ginger Pop and the Model Village will appeal to children and adults alike. While in Swanage, be sure to stroll the Pier and visit the Heritage Centre. For a special present or treat, it's hard to beat the hand-made chocolates from Chococo, where you can also watch the chocolates being crafted. There's something for all the family at Monkey World (see the stars of Animal Planet's Monkey Business) and theBovington Tank Museum nearby. |
