At The Larches a warm welcome awaits you from Valerie and Barry Mayner also Irene Cameron, who will look after you during your stay.

Guardbridge is situated on the A919, 4 miles from St Andrews, and 8 miles from Dundee. Actually if you blink twice you may miss us! Nevertheless its a dear little village.

The Larches was for many years the hub of village life, being the old Memorial Hall built in 1919. It was sold about1975 and has been many things since, including a Bank, Shop and Playschool.

We bought the house in 1987, and it is now a warm and loved home. The Bed and Breakfast business grew out of this - and we just love it!

We have three "residents" bedrooms, a double bedded and twin bedded on the ground floor, both en-suite, and a twin bedded on the first floor which has its own private bathroom.

We can also accommodate families in this twin plus adjoining twin room, both of which can take a cot, sharing the bathroom between them. (A cot and highchair are available if required). There is also a further bathroom with a bath/shower and toilet on the ground floor forresidents use. We also have full central heating throughout. Each bedroom has H&C, colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities, shaver point, hairdryer and use of a trouser press, and ironing board.

A large comfortable residents lounge is available at all times. The residents lounge has a colour TV,dvd and video player with a large selection of modern films for adults and children - just in case it rains! Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cookies are also available.

There is a fridge for residents use, very necessary for baby food or the odd bottle of wine. Our breakfast menu is full and varied; if you want it we will supply it, perfectly cooked, and served at a time to suit you!!

Station pickup and return transport can be provided at most times, and the taxi service is good.
