Patricia and Granville have owned Kingford House for the last eighteen years and invite you to come and relax and enjoy your holiday.
It nestles under Hollerday Hill and faces south with views over South Cliff. The Bowling Green and Tennis Courts are just a two minute walk.
Food is of excellent quality and is prepared and cooked by Tricia using local fresh produce whenever possible. The dinner menu changes daily with a choice to suit everyone's tastes. Vegetarian and special diets are catered for. Some of the comments from our visitor's book, "Just like home only 100% better!" Egon Ronay eat your heart out", "Steak and Kidney Pie not to be missed, once you have eaten one of Tricia's you know you have had the best". "The apple pie was to die for". "If Tricia's tipsy trifle is on offer go for it!"
An English breakfast will set you up for the day and on your return, after a day out exploring Exmoor, your taste buds will be set off with the smell of your dinner being cooked.
All rooms are fully equipped with tea tray, television, hairdryer and a clock radio alarm. Your shower room has a selection of toiletries and you don't need to pack a face cloth as they are provided.
Your rooms are furnished and decorated to a very high standard with your comfort in mind. Your residents' lounge has a good selection of books and games to help you relax.
We are situated close to the Valley of Rocks and coastal paths with just a five minute walk to the centre of the town, and the Cliff Railway that connects Lynton with Lynmouth. We also have ample off street parking.
Once in Lynmouth take a walk alongside the East Lyn River to Watersmeet or up to Countisbury and Foreland Lighthouse. Should you prefer to drive, the Exmoor National Park has plenty to offer both near and far. You may like to take a picnic specially prepared for you by Tricia.
Please note, for your comfort, we are a non smoking hotel.
